Room offered decent space for a couple, albeit it could have used better light fixtures. The location provided easy access to local amenities, making it convenient for a quick stay.
Upon arrival, the decor felt old and tired, and the furniture truly needed updating. The shower, unfortunately, was not functional, leaving us with no option but to wash in the sink, which isn't ideal for anyone arriving from a wedding. An empty mini bar and a non-operational fridge didn’t add comfort to our stay. The lack of breakfast options was disappointing, especially when the website suggested otherwise. Although our room was adequately clean, there were issues with broken light bulbs, and the electricity seemed to have a mind of its own—at one point, we were left in the dark with no remedy in sight. Plus, the noisy street crowd at night made sleep a bit more challenging than I would’ve preferred.

the location was perfect as we attended a show nearby. the room was clean n comfy, better than expected. staff were super nice, especially the guy at reception, he really knew how to make us feel welcome. the double bed was comfy, and we had a good sleep, which is rare for me.
the dining options were limited since the kitchen was closed, and breakfast wasn't served. the shower didn’t get hot enough and could be better.

I loved relaxing in the cozy double room and really enjoyed the tasty breakfast offered next door. It was a great way to unwind after a busy day. The vibe at the restaurant was just right. The only downside was that the hot water in the shower didn’t quite hit the mark, but it didn’t ruin my stay! 😊

Request a room away from the street to minimize noise from outside, especially if you're a light sleeper.

A great stay for anyone needing relaxation
The staff were incredibly helpful. I remember the reception offered me a suite without extra charge just because of a little issue with the TV. It was clean and spacious, I felt at home. The parking was free for a few hours longer, and the goodbyes from the staff when leaving were genuinely warm, it made a difference for a solo traveler like me.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but the experience made it worthwhile.

The hotel features charming original details, like decorative mahogany door frames and an elegant reception ceiling that adds character. Conveniently located near attractions, it provides easy access to the local scene and cozy rooms.
Several rooms displayed signs of neglect, such as peeling paint on windows, tired and scuffed furniture, and bathrooms that felt cramped. There were also small amenities issues, like lacking enough clothes hangers and poorly working towel rails that likely annoyed those expecting standard comfort.

Had an awesome group getaway here! We explored the beautiful Waterton Countryside Discovery Centre and enjoyed the art at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The staff were super friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. Though breakfast isn't on-site, plenty of cafes are just a short walk away. Highly recommend for a fun weekend with friends!
